Nthawi ya Malawi

Nthawi ya Malawi is a creative initiative by NxtGen Studios that explores Malawi’s history and cultural heritage through animation. Using 3D animation and storytelling, the project brings historical events, communities, and traditions to life in an engaging and accessible visual format. One of the project’s published works, The Yao Episode, uses 3D animation created in Blender to tell a historical story of the Yao people in Malawi, combining digital artistry with historical storytelling. The initiative aims to explore and present more of Malawi’s history through animation, with future stories to be developed as the project progresses.
